What is BVEssentials Sales Manager?
BVEssentials Sales Manager is an application that replaces the Order Entry module provided within Sage BusinessVision. It uses the Pervasive Workgroup Engine or the SQL version of BusinessVision in order to run.
Basically BVEssentials runs with BusinessVision, using its architecture and table structure as the foundation. Sales Manager increases efficiency and functionality by pulling data stored in BusinessVision tables and files, displaying it seamlessly in the relevant BVEssentials windows and forms and adding additional data elements and work flow options.
BVE Sales Manager provides the user with greater flexibility in data entry and better control over the Order Entry process. At the same time it generates all files that are consistent with those produced by the order entry module within Sage BusinessVision. As a result, once invoices are posted, all of the standard reporting and control functions of BusinessVision remain intact.
The primary purpose is to update inventory and enter sales orders, posting the transactions to the appropriate G/L Accounts when they are completed. The primary users will be individuals who enter the sales orders and complete them. Other users may do the posting at the end of the day or week, review reports etc., depending upon the company requirements.
